Mimetite on tennantite, Second Oxidation Zone, Tsumeb. Purchased from Rocky Mountain Gem and Minerals, Tuscon, 2014. Ex Eugene Wilson collection, Denver, Colorado. Eugene purchased the specimen from Sid Pieters, in Namibia, in March 1964. Tennantite is present as prominent triangular shaped cluster of crystals 40mm high. Surrounded by masses of altered crystals, pseudomorphed after Enargite or maybe Azurite. Abundant mm size sparkling crystals of colorless to white mimetite, encrust the tennantite.
