For sale is a  specimen of agate from the Pilbara, W.Aust. This is a piece of banded agate from a location near Nullagine in Western Australia. These agates are found in the Maddina Basalt and studies have shown that these are probably the oldest agates in the world, with an age of approx 3.8 billion years old!! Very very few people ever get the opportunity to hold something 3 billion years old in their hands!  So I think this makes these agates extremely interesting.
