For sale is an emerald on matrix from Vietnam. This location is, till this time the only find of emerald in Vietnam. The find was made more that 30 years ago, and was quite limited in specimen. Basically none made it out of Vietnam at the time of discovery. The color saturation is first rate, as good as it gets from the location! I have diligently search for this material, thru markets and Vietnamese dealers for many years now, and very occasionally an old specimen turns up. Such as this one, which had been sitting in a house in Yen Bei, for more than twenty years. I was most pleased to have been able to acquire it.

The very very best specimen from this fine, sits on display in a gem museum in Hoi An, Vietnam. The single crystal on matix of this specimen is approx 200mm long!!
