For sale is an historic translucent green talc specimen from Russia. This large specimen of talc is a lovely shade of pastel mint green, and is composed entirely of foliated blade crystals. Talc is the softest mineral on earth, scoring a 1 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Surprisingly very few mineral collectors have any talc in their collection. This specimen could be called a "sleeper" I have had it for more than 10 years, trying to identify it and its location, a recent visit to the Australia Museum, solved the problem, with a similar one on display there. Ex A Martin collection, Munich, Germany. Old time classic specimen.
