For sale is one of my favorite specimens, a calcite from Potosi mine, Mexico. To quote Jordi Fabre "Complex equidimensional crystals, very rich in faces, growing on an early generation of smaller crystals primarily covering a stalactitic growth. In other words = a natural sculpture, isn't it?" Enough said, love it. Ex A.Martin collection, Munich, Germany. Classic!

For sale is a group of sand calcite from South Dakota, USA. This is an exquisite group of undamaged crystals, the three dimensional nature of the specimen is attractive. The sharp crystals are included with sand particles, which make up about 65% of the volume. The calcite crystals are believed to have formed within cavities in limestone. The sand is thought to have infiltrated the limestone cavities while the calcite crystals were growing, giving them the distinctive sandstone appearance. Fascinating!

For sale is a large calcite on quartz with apophyllite from India. The size of the calcite crystal is quite uncommon. The specimen is also studded with apophyllite crystals to nearly 1cm, (note the crystal on the face of the large calcite) There is a fourth mineral here I feel, the dark ball at the tip of the smaller calcite, what is is I have no idea. Great sized display specimen. Ex Chris Benotic collection.

For sale is an attractive specimen of siderite over sphalerite with pyrite and calcite, from the classic location Trepca, Yugoslavia. First I have to say the pyrite did not photograph well, it actually is golden, well formed and reasonably lustrous. This is a very busy and pretty specimen first came the pyrite, then the excellent sphalerite, then the drusy siderite, and finally the very well formed calcite crystals, (not seen really well). Nice, old time specimen, pristine condition. Ex Pino Deriu collection.

This is a ripper specimen, way way better than the pics show, just is hard to photograph. Its very well formed, has some luster, and has NO damage. Razor sharp, great classic specimen from this old location. This species is some times called Sanadine. Ex Pino Deriu collection.

For sale is a very fine mauve blue chalcedony after fluorite. Thou there has never been a great deal of this material, it can be considered somewhat of a European classic. The razor sharp fluorite replacement is first rate. And the color, the amazing color, just so sweet, pastel blue/mauve chalcedony. Psudos of this old-time quality are uncommon on the market. Absolutely top notch specimen. Pristine.

For sale is a fascinating quartz from the rapidly becoming famous Huanggang mine, Inner Mongolia. The well defined crystal group has a reasonable coverage of pale-ish green chlorite over it, but there is just enough areas where the underlying red quartz can be seen clearly. The really interesting thing about these are the red quartz is what would be described in any other circumstance as carnelian, but as carnelian does not crystallize other than micro, I'm reluctant to call it this. What I can say is I have never seen anything similar to this, the spray of red crystals, has all the appearance of carnelian. We obtained a couple of these this is by far the best one.
