Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a classic old crocoite from Adelaide mine Dundas, Tas. This specimen is solid crocoite! Check the size! The main vug is filled with classic hollow termination square cross section crystals. These have not been seen for many years at the mine. Crocoite is really only known from a few places in the world in good crystallized examples, and arguably there is only one place in the world for good gems, though they are few and far between. Ex Neil Smith collection.

It wa passed down thru the family from her great grandfather, who was one of the owners of the deposit when it was worked. This comes with Johns collection label.

For sale is a glorious water clear drusy quartz over malachite with minor chrysocolla, from Mt Glorious mine, Cloncurry, Qld. First I have to say that this is one specimen that really needs sunlight to have its full beauty appreciated. Second, all the things that appear as whitish spots, are actually flashes from the ultra bright drusy quartz! Third virtually all the specimen from this mine, that appear on U.S. web sites claim the green mineral is actually pseudomalachite, as it under quartz, it is virtually impossible to prove, one way or the other! Minor contacts on the periphery, otherwise pristine! Way, way better in person.

For sale is a stunning specimen of drusy quartz over malachite, plus probably a couple of other minerals. (There are some spheres on the left that are a pink yellow color and there are a couple of snow white spheres) Its very difficult to catch the true sparkling nature of this specimen, but all the small spots that look white in color are actually the flashing drusy quartz,(which is water clear) A beautiful specimen with nice contrasting matrix, this is exquisite under magnification!!! This is better than the pics indicate.

For sale is an emerald in matrix from Curlew mine, Marble Bar, W.Aust. This specimen comes from an obscure part of this mines history, probably in the 1980s.There is probably about thirty emerald crystals or part crystals in this rock. The matrix is quartz, the back of the specimen (not photographed) is black biotite. The emerald crystals are medium green, translucent, and segmented. Rare old material, just never seen today in the market. This is a significant and historic Australian emerald specimen, both in size, display and rarity! Of the few specimens I have ever seen from this old locality, this is by far the largest, and richest. Ex John Rankin collection.

For sale is a beautiful group of epidote crystals from Harts Range, N.T. This is possibly the most difficult specimen I have ever had to photograph, after seven attempts I got a bit despondent. Enough to say it way better than the pics indicate, it appears to be a floater group, with about 25% of the faces not highly lusterous,(mostly on the bottom side) all other faces are mirror like. The crystal are razor sharp, and of a deep green color. Good terminated epidote crystals are not common!! Ex Chris Benotic collection. Very reasonable priced!!
