Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a fine single calcite crystal from the Flinders Ranges, S.Aust. This specimen is pristine, save from where it has cleaved from the base, at two angles. The fact that it is so internally clean is rare for crystal of this size in Australia. Virtually unseen! The surface of the crystal has a frosted appearance, but this does not hinder the transmission of light at all. All up an outstanding gem calcite crystal, very hard to obtain in this size from anywhere in Australia!

For sale is a golden calcite from Kandos, NSW. I have to say the pics make this a shade more golden than it is in reality. That said, this a a quite gemmy specimen of from an old locality that occasionally turns up in collections. Interewstingly if looked at in sun shine there are a fair few areas of rainbows in the piece, these show in some areas along the cleavage planes, making for a fine effect! This comes with a small, very old locality label glued to the base

For sale is a yellow "chrome" cerussite from Broken Hill NSW. This beautiful specimen with highest luster is a floater group, made up of a series of interlocking crystals. I would suggest that the yellow coloration of the cerussite actually comes from inclusions of bindheimite, either way its very nice and uncommon color for the locality. Largest crystal is a fraction short of 2cm.

For sale is an old Australian classic, a very solid specimen of "chrome" cerussite, from Dundas, Tasmania. Only the lead mines of Tasmania have ever produced chrome cerussite(a very few have recently come from China). The slight limonite matrix is covered with pale yellow to saturated yellow crystals of chrome cerussite. The cerussite is in some areas more than 2omm thick, rather uncommon. This features some elongated crystals, a style not often seen. The back side also has a very decent (40%) area of highly lustrous display. In reality the edges are not as white as the pics tend to make them look!

For sale is a chenevixite from Bali Lo copper prospect, W.Aust. Chenevixite is an uncommon copper asenate. This showy and excellent, richly-covered specimen, both front and back, consists of box-works of light green chenevixite microcrystals and plates, like all specimens from this location, who knows what would be revealed under magnification.

For sale is a chlorite quartz from Fords Hill, Torrington, NSW. I just love Fords Hill material, with its characteristic form and gemmy tops, the range of colors in the quartz is quite astounding, from dark chocolate to lemon, to this slightly green material, (the actual color is more green than the pics indicate) with great phantoms. High luster. This color is uncommon from Fords Hill.

For sale is a gorgeous chrysocolla with drusy quartz from Mt Glorious mine, Cloncurry, Qld. The drusy quartz over chrysocolla from this mine is equal to any location in the world, and this peice is high grade. Sparkly drusy quartz covers chrysocolla most of which is bright blue in color. The Quartz is translucent and the resulting color from the underlying chrysocolla is sky blue. Color is accurate, try and find better anywhere!

For sale is an excellent specimen of chrysoprase from Marlbrough, Qld. Decent specimen of this mineral are often overlooked in mineral collections, I suppose because they are not often seen as attractive. This "coral" form is an exception, being very attractive and having a great saturated color thru out, and wonderful form. Ex Ray Montgomery collection.

For sale is a chrysoprase specimen from Marlborough, Qld. Decent chrysoprase specimen are not often seen in minerals collections, I like this one, because besides the good thick display of lush green, both the top and the bottom have regular quartz, for contrast, and adding interest to the specimen. Not many people realize that chrysoprase is a magnasite replacement, in other words this started life as magnasite, and because of chemical changes in its environment, its changed to chalcedony with nickel as the color agent.

For sale is a large copper specimen from Broken Hill, NSW. PLEASE NOTE. This piece has never been cleaned by any acids, unlike the vast majority of specimens!! A rare, superb and highly sculptural old-timer large crystallized floater copper. The second pic showing the rear of the piece has a well-developed spinel twinneing with sharply crystallized spinel twinned patterns, giving a dramatic effect. The color on the rear of olive running into green and brown, Im not sure what mineral causes this. Stunning specimen.

This crystal from Rocklands mine, Qld, I consider the finest copper crystal I have ever seen from any Australian location. The crystallization is superb, with sharp faces and great color. The exquisite definition and natural color makes this a museum piece.

For sale is a coprolite from Hanging Rock, Nundle, NSW. This fossil poo is possibly from the extinct Australian megafauna. One thing I do know about it is that its a little uncommon in style, for the location, there is some variety thru out the deposit, and even different replacement agents (i.e. Ironstone) but smooth slender specimens such as this make up only about 1 percent of the specimens found! Collected by and from the collection of Norman and Jocine Robinson.
