Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is an exceptionally large and rich specimen of this rare hydrated calcium and zinc phosphate, this is a scarce mineral in good quality specimens. The solid limonite matrix has sprays of acicular crystals, over literally the whole face. There are a couple of unidentified minerals associated, particularly, black to iredescent balls that I thought were hematite, but dont fit the description in Australian Journal of Mineralogy. Some crystal have clay staining, this could easily be broken up. For sale is a specimen what can be considered quite uncommon, scorodite, from Wulfram Camp, Qld. This specimen was mine about 12 years ago, in the dying days of the old mine. The scorodite appears to be pseudomorphing something, but I can really tell what. The quartz are fully terminated. This is interesting under the microscope, there are a couple of other associated minerals. Good examples of scorodite from Australia are few and far between.

For sale is a twinned selenite crystal from Lake Gillies S Aust. This is a sharp well defined crystal, that has areas of very good transparency, there is no damage to this piece. These are classic Australian selinites, the definitive writting on these was written by Brian England in the Mineralogical Record in the mid 1980s. Selenite, also called gypsum, as I like to point out to children, literally surrounds us every day, in the form of gyprock. w

For sale is a classic rice grain smithsonite, from Broken Hill. The beautiful satin lustered rice grain shaped crystal, richly adorn the damage freee specimen. The matrix is interesting because it has only a tiny amount of goethite,(the usual matrix from these smithsonites) the matrix make up is mainly garnet(I think), and is quite fascinating under the microscope, Im sure there is a couple of other minerals here. Ex M.J.Stott collection.

For sale is a very aesthetic smokey quartz on matrix from Moralla, Vic. These specimens are found at a depth of about 5 meters below the surface, finding them is not easy, the vast majority have no matrix, so this piece on matrix, with the matrix quartz crystal having a faint amethyst color, is very special. No damage, the crystal sits perfectly displayed above the flat matrix, visible from any angle. Beautiful swirls of smokey in a razor sharp crystal. In the USA , some dealers are asking ridiculously high prices for these specimens, compare our price. Ex Ray Montgomery collection.

For sale is a large smoky quartz crystal from Cardinia Creek, Melbourne. Specimens from this old location are very hard to obtain, single crystals of this size, were very uncommon. There is a small ding on the back of the top termination, but overall the condition is good. When held up to the light the crystal is transparent for at least the top 50mm. There are a couple of strong phantoms at the top, not seen in the pics. Ex Brian Hutchinson collection.

This highly lustrous crystal was part of the collection. There have been no specimen available from this mine for years, these were amongst the last obtained, the mine has now been put on maintenance only for the last few years. It is not common that crystals are seen so thick from this location.
