Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is an interesting piece of smoky quartz from the long lost location Cardinia creek, Vic. This specimen has been polished to best show the inclusions, and to make the edges less sharp, and dangerous. The rainbow pretty vivid rainbow inclusion, covers about 25% of the specimen, and to the right of it is a rather unique white inclusion, which is very angular, and I have no idea what it is, I do know that I dont recall seeing anything like it before. Inclusions like both these in smoky quartz are not that common. Ex Brian Hutchinson collection.

For sale is a very nice jade specimen from New Zealand. Sorry we dont know exactly where in NZ this came from , we got it in an old collection of NZ rocks with out any labels. I do know its not often that a jade specimen is so presentable as a display mineral specimen, the vast majority are water warn boulder sections, not the natural, not weathered end of a jade seam. The bottom has been sawn, the color of the pics is accurate, and the weight is a hefty 480gms. Raw jade such as this is no longer allowed to be exported from New Zealand, so this is pretty special. See it you can remember ever seeing another one similar to this?

For sale is a large for the location orange quartz, from Mt Read, Tas. This mountain has had a long and torturous past, it shows up in the specimen from here, this crystal is largely gemmy and transparent. This is a top Australian orange quartz. The only damage to it is where other crystal have touched it in the pocket. Crystals of orange quartz this size are not common at all. We obtained this from Bear, who mined it about 11 years ago, thanks Bear.

For sale is a large quartz plate from Mt Isa dist. Qld. The true beauty of this is hard to capture on film, there are a couple of ding xls on the periphery. There is a small (2mm)piece from the large crystal, but this was the result of natural Teutonic activity in the earth. Highly lusterous, excellent display, this piece was the pic of more than 90 pieces we had to choose from. This is a fine Australian quartz plate, very hard to obtain. Way better in person. No overseas buyers please, the weight is just short of 2.5kgs.

For sale is an olivine "bomb" surrounded by black volcanic scoria, from Mt Shadwell, Vic. This is a very decent size for these specimens, thou I have seen pic of ones up to 35cm, they are rare. From what I understand these contain these contain besides olivine, areas of chrome diopside (emerald green areas) , this is unique for this material world wide. Nice specimen with am opal like sheen in some areas not really captured in the pics.
