Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a large plate of pentoxelon fern, from the Miles, district, in Qld. This is a huge plate of this Jurassic age fern, with excellent detail and polish. To quote from the Virtual Petrifed Wood Museum, " Multiple wedges of xylem surround the pith of this Jurassic-aged seed fern from Australia. Beyond these central wedges xylem formed rings of wave-like patterns." Huge!

First thing is that the pic, no many times I tried , do not do this specimen justice. There are no white spots on the crystal, which is actually a rather complex group of five crystals. The crystal are in excellent condition, have particularly high luster and are razor sharp. The real highlight of this piece is the top terminations, sharp and highly lusterous, this in not common on terminations from this area. TOP SPECIMEN. Compare our price.

For sale is a sparkling heulandite and drusy quartz, from Tambar Springs, NSW. This fine flashy drusy quartz with heulandite below and scattered about the surface of the specimen. This is a very pretty specimen, that is not done justice by the pics. Its also a rather unusual Tambar Springs piece. It should also be remembered that quartz on a zeolite is ratyher rare, especially on the zeolite , heulandite.

For sale is a very pretty drusy quartz over chrysocolla Sunset mine Cloncurry, Qld. The drusy quartz covers an area of goethite and then an area of very sweet pale blue chrysocolla, , giving the surface a somewhat unearthly appearence, which Im not sure is completely captured in the pics. I obtained this piece at the Bundaberg Gemboree, the material which had only just been mined , was quiet expensive and I could only afford this one piece.

For sale is a pretty duftite and mimetite from Mt Bonny, N.T. First I have to say this is way better than the pics indicate, the crystal are in excellent condition, they are razor sharp and have a superlative color. (the back side of the specimen is also rather good) Duftite from Australia is rather uncommon. These crystal have the lightest dusting of green duftite over cream mimetite, so you have the fine mimetite form with a rather unusual color. (under magnification there appears to be some unusual parallel growth mimetites) Collected by and from the collection of Norman and Jocine Robinson.

For sale is a cut plate of enstatite (bronzite) freom Queensland. I have taken two pic one in the sunlight and one under lights, to try and capture the flashy sheen this material has. If lacquered this would display beautifully. This came from a very old collection I got at the Gatton gemboree, this year, the old label which has now disintegrated, said just Goldstone QLD. Tenham station is the only Qld location for enstatite, that would be the first guess. Surprisingly for an obscure, literally unheard of location Tenham station is the type locality for two minerals Ringwoodite and Bridgmanite.

First of all this crystal is a lot better than the pics indicate. How often do you see an Harts Range, epidote like this for sale? The large crystal is fully terminated, has excellent luster and is a deep green color. In the last thirty years we have only ever seen two Harts Range crystal, as good and as big as this one is. Ex J.Rankin, Ex South Australian Museum collection,(with label).

For sale is a specimen collected by Chris Parkinson in 1995, from Mt Cobalt mine. The mansfieldite, a rare aluminium arsenate coverage is the largest I have seen, with small erythrite blooms and radiating yellow/brown smolianinovite sprays. I have to mention the great distribution of mansfieldite again, for this rare mineral this is as good as it gets. Under a microscope this is very entertaining. The original label says there os spherocobaltite here, I wouldn't be surprised, Im just not good at identifying it.

For sale is a true Broken Hill classic mineral, (actually in not sure it is found anywhere else in the world) plumbian (lead) feldspar. There is up to 2% weight of lead in this unusual material. This specimen has excellent translucency thru most of the specimen. There are three other minerals associated, a bit uncommon, quartz, galena and chalcopyrite(yellow seen in the pic) a good microscope Im sure would find others.

For sale is a specimen of K-feldspar with pale green prehnite balls, this comes from a small find about 6 years ago, I have seen no more of these since then. The specimen show scattered balls of prehnite on a on a nicely contrasting tan colored matrix of feldspar. Interesting and unusual specimen from a classic location. For some reason this was devilishly hard to capture on film.
