For sale is a bustamite crystal from Broken Hill, NSW. Broken Hill is renowned for having the worlds finest bustamite crystals, by far! I must say these are getting very difficult to source today, and I can see the day when they just wont be available. This is a fully terminated crystal, (probably it terminated into a calcite vein), with good luster and sharp form, please note it doesn't have the common, rounded edge crystal faces, usually seen in bustamites of this size. Some areas of translucency. Ex Norman and Jocine Robinson collection.

This cluster of translucent golden brown crystals has the the largest crystals being double terminated, they have the typical rounded terminations, this location produces. Broken Hill, has produced by far the worlds best bustamite crystals, we here in Australian, tend to be a bit blase about our bustamite crystals, but try and find anything vaguely coming near this specimen, from overseas.

For sale is a Broken Hill, bustamite with calcite. I can say with absolute certainty, that Australia has produced the worlds finest and largest bustamites, at Broken Hill. We tend to take them a bit for granted, but a 5.5cm single crystal like this is really a museum quality specimen. This piece is translucent, and has the typical rounded terminations, seen from this location. The pics do not show it well, but his crystal is totally compleat and in pristine condition.

For sale is an interesting specimen from a very obscure location, calcite and pectolite, Pilton quarry, Qld. I cannot find any reference to this location in the mineral literature, but the label is quiet sure. The specimen consists of calcite on basalt. With the structure at the back of the plate being calcite crystal on the bottom , then what appears to be fibrous pectolite stretching up to an upper layer of calcite crystals, interestingly a couple of the top calcite crystals, have been included by a green unknown mineral. Fascinating, undamaged specimen, from a literally unknown location. Collected by and from the collection of Tom Tamas.
