For sale is a aquamarine crystal from Mt Surprise, a location much better known for its topaz. This crystal is very gemmy and could actually be facetted (I hope it doesnt). It has excellent luster, and is fully terminated, thou one end is rather strange. Aquamarine is uncommon from this local, and this is a fine example, good and thick and transparent.Old material, ex Willyama (Martin Rosser) collection, with label.

For sale is a very old specimen of floss ferri from Buchan Caves , Buchan, Vic. While this species is not listed as coming from this location, on mindat, I have no doubt of the location. The specimen is very large in size and in good condition considering its age, the base has been sawn, (enabling the growth rings to be seen). As far as I know floss ferri, variety of aragonite, is not found in any other location in Australia. Ex Brian Hutchinson collection. Overseas buyers please contact for postage costs, this is heavy.

This amazing specimen was found in 1971, inside a block of very messy quartz. The quartz has been poslished into a square shape so the arsonopyrite can be best seen. The quartz block, still sits on the dop stick used during polishing. The very bright, perfect metal crystal, floats totally , pristine, frozen in the quartz. This piece was obtained from a very large and messy quartz piece that had sat at the entrance to the "Old 45 mine" collected by and cut by Bob Reece, of Ballina, in the early 1970s.

First of all Im sorry the pics aren't great, but except for one crystal on the perifery, all crystal are intact. Crystal up to 14mm. The specimen has a sawn base, making it display well. Fine crystals with gemmy tips, this specimen is better than the pics indicate.
