Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a crocoite on matrix from Red Lead mine, Dundas, Tas. I obtained this about 15 years s ago from Christo Lees of Hobart, and have loved it ever since, now it time to move it on. The gemmy crocoite crystals sit thick in a well protected vug, with a flat base, very presentable. This specimen is a style not seen for thirty years now. This is even better in the hand!

For sale is a fascinating duftite and mimetite from Mt Bonny, N.T. This has many things going for it, first is the uncommon spear like mimetite crystals, there is even a rose like mimetite group. There are some mimetite with included duftite. The really rare thing about this is the discreet duftite crystals, as Brian England and Normand Robinson said in there Min Record article, discreet crystal were extremely rare.

For sale is a matrix tourmaline from the classic Australian location, Kangaroo Island, S.Aust. Elbite tourmaline is rare in Australia, matrix specimens, are much more rare. Both crystal are terminated, the right hand one well and the left hand one crudely. This specimen was collected in the 1970s, and we obtained it from Eileen in 2004. Australian tourmaline with any color are few and far between in the market! Collected by and from the collection of Julius and Eileen Szabados, Valla Beach, NSW.

For sale is a large plate of erythrite from Mt Cobalt. The erythrite formed as a carpet of radiating balls of tiny hair-like crystals, with deep pink color from the cobalt content. This all sits on a sandstone matrix. The bonus is on the other side (second pic) this side contains heterogenite (black), mansfieldite (mauve), and smolyaniovite (cream to orangish) pseudomorphed after erythrite, there is also an unidentified green mineral here, this is fascinating under the microscope, some of the very liberally spread mansfieldite appears to be actually pseudomorphing some of the smolyaniovite and I would not be surprised if there were other minerals here as well.

For sale is a three color fluorite from Mt Isa, Qld. Australia is not well endowed with fluorite, so to find a three color specimen is very uncommon. To be honest I think if you could even find a picture of another three color fluorite from Australia you would be doing very well. The color's are a fine blue(very uncommon here) mauve and green.

For sale is a fossil fern from Bowraville NSW. Im sorry I cant tell you the name of this fossil, I dont know, but I do know that the location on South Arm Road, has never been documented or studied, there is zero information available regarding s this location. The fossil layers go litterally right thru the specimen, and it should be able to be split reasonably easy.

This is a very interesting specimen that I have spent hours looking at (literally). Its a green included quartz on tourmaline, from Mt Isa district, Qld. The quartz with very interesting form and high luster, actually sits on tourmaline, var dravite. There is a lot of degraded mica and elbaite also associated, but the main body of the specimen is basically a tourmaline crystal. Now as to what causes the green in the quartz, I think its possibly be epidote, a mineral found in abundance around Mt Isa. Interesting!!

This stunner came from the second reworkof the mine in 1971, it was rescued by Geoff Randell, who worked as a plant operator. It was sliced and polished by Murray Thompson, in the late 1990s. An outstanding example of Australian malachite, from a renown Australian location.

For sale is a fine pyrophyllite from the classic location, Gundagai, NSW. This features golden groups of diverging, lustrous, clusters, which just happen to converge on each other sprays of pyrophyllite. Pic really don't do this species justice. A rich and fine specimen of solid pyrophyllite. What appears to be white spots in the pic are actually golden flashes reflecting from the crystal faces. Pics of both front and rear.
