Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. For sale is an uncommon chrysocolla specimen from Mt Fitch, Rum Jungle, N.T. This specimen (which is the last we have) was collected by Norman Robinson, from an exploration trench at Mt Fitch (about 400 mtrs) from Browns Prospect, Rum Jungle, N.T. The identification as chrysocolla was done by Norman,it appears to be replacing malachite (there is a small amount of pyromorphite associated). Note, chrysocolla has never been identified at Rum Jungle. So there is a remote possibility that this is actually malachite, blue malachite would be very interesting. Either way this is an uncommon specimen, and particularly interesting under the microscope!

For sale is a chrysocolla pseudomorphing azurite,(I think) from Mt Glorious, Qld. First of all this is not a large specimen but it is rather interesting and impressive piece. Two of the pseudomorphs have been breached, and it appears as thou they have two different minerals inside, which raises the possible of a double pseudomorph! Fascinating stuff.

For sale is a pale citrine quartz from Pine Ridge, NSW, the quartz has an unusual form. For sale is a cobaltite and erythrite, plus at least two other minerals, from Mt Cobalt, QLD. Rarely is cobaltite available today from this old location. This is just amazing under magnification, there is actually a huge amount of cobaltite here, mainly small crystal, but there are a couple to 3mm, and very well defined. There are also plenty of smolyaninovite as very well defined pseudomorphs after cobaltite, (orange color)

The tops most of the larger crystal are transparent, and highly lustrous. A lot of them having different styles of inclusions on different termination faces. Beautiful floater plate, with trivial damage. Ex George Stacy collection, as far as I know George mined this specimen in the 1960s. This is way way better than the pics indicate.

For sale is a copper crystals, covered by malachite. This pretty little specimen was recovered in the last days of mining at this location in the early 1990s. Decent copper crystal specimens, or for that matter any copper specimens, from this field are uncommon. Even after look at this under magnification, I am not sure if the yellow is a different mineral, or a very very pale malachite! Interesting specimen, and presents well. Try and find another, anywhere, even a pic of one.
