Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a cobaltite and erythrite, plus at least two other minerals, from Mt Cobalt, QLD. Rarely is cobaltite available today from this old location. This is just amazing under magnification, there is actually a huge amount of cobaltite here, mainly small crystal, but there are a couple to 3mm, and very well defined. There are also plenty of smolyaninovite as very well defined pseudomorphs after cobaltite, (orange color)

For sale is a colored quartz plate from Mary Kathleen, Qld. First please note the color is not as bright orange red as the pics indicate, the color goes from small dark dots to brown then orange brown. The tops most of the larger crystal are transparent, and highly lustrous. A lot of them having different styles of inclusions on different termination faces. Beautiful floater plate, with trivial damage. Ex George Stacy collection, as far as I know George mined this specimen in the 1960s. This is way way better than the pics indicate.
CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN, MARY KATHLEEN, QLD.

For sale is a copper crystals, covered by malachite. This pretty little specimen was recovered in the last days of mining at this location in the early 1990s. Decent copper crystal specimens, or for that matter any copper specimens, from this field are uncommon. Even after look at this under magnification, I am not sure if the yellow is a different mineral, or a very very pale malachite! Interesting specimen, and presents well. Try and find another, anywhere, even a pic of one.
PHOENIX OPEN CUT, MINERAL HILL, NSW.

For sale is a crocoite on matrix specimen from Red Lead mine. One fully gemmy crystal dominates the specimen, the luster is first rate, and the positioning perfect. There other crystal scattered about, not clearly seen in the pics. This old style material, is in my opinion more striking, than the mono colored specimens seen today. Ex Christo Lees collection.

Pristine condition. Ex Paul Young collection. Excellent crystal and rare, large size. Fine shape. You will not find anything that comes vaguely close to this crystal anywhere on the net! We said before we had not more dawsonites, but we have been fortunate to obtain a couple more of this rare anhydrous carbonate. This comes from Narrabri coal mine, NSW. This is only the second recording of this mineral in NSW, so you could say its quiet rare.

For sale is an uncommon bi-color slab of opalite dendrite from Norsman, W.Aust. In reality there is no mineral named opalite, this is in fact chalcedoney with dendrite pyrolusite thou our. (thanks Trevor Dart), but opalite is a well know and used colloquial name. The green tinged banded around the periphery of the slab, is in my opinion quite uncommon! This is well polished with excellent luster and exquisite pattern. Top material, capable of cutting many cabs if this is your wish.

A reasonably clear diamond crystal, from Argyle. Australian diamonds are not very common and this is a good representative piece. This has excellent diamond luster. These are not the easiest things to source, as they have a policy to not sell in Australia, apparently.

For sale is a twinned diopside crystal from Mt Elliot, Qld. This dark green crystal has mico chalcopyrites scattered over the surface. but more interestingly is twinned nature of the crystal, (indicated by the V shape on the top of crystal). What can be seen on the front of the crystal appearing to be white parallel lines, are mineral I have been unable to identify, the center's are very dark to black with the ends being fibrous pale yellow, the parallel nature of the growth is uncommon, I would love to know what this unidentified mineral is , under the microscope its intriguing. While not having great luster, it is way above average for this location! Ex Doug Ball collection.
MT ELLIOT COPPER MINE, CLONCURRY, QLD.

For sale is a double terminated quartz crystal from Oakleigh creek Tas.
