Our large range of minerals reflects the fascination and the desire to preserve our unique Australian material.
Our quest is to further the knowledge and understanding of minerals in the wider community. A browse through these web pages show that we have a rather interesting range of uncommon and hard to find Australian mineral specimens. We have been exhibiting and selling fine Australian minerals since 1990, featuring rare collectors specimen from Broken Hill NSW, Torrington, Hillgrove and other important mines in Australia.

For sale is a rare large spinel crystal from the New England gem fields, NSW. It would not be an exageration to say that spinel crystal over a couple of mm are very very uncommon from Australia. This specimen was the largest crystal found by Paul Young in over 30 years experience on the fields. Color is black and the crystal is water warn to some extent. A unique opportunity to obtain a very decent size spinel, it may be another twenty five years before another comes on the market, if at all. Ex Paul Young collection.

Good specimen from a little seen and remote location.

For sale is a large gem topaz from Oban River NSW. The water warn crystal has no cleavage fractures visible. The water clear interior is very uncommon in a piece of this size. Oban is historically known for fine topaz (see the Australian Museum collection), but nothing of note has come out for many decades. Oban specimens of this caliber, just don't come on to the market! This weights a whopping 700cts, and it is was cut and polished would give a facetted stone of at least 200cts, and probably a couple of 50cts stones. Ex Bernie Whyte collection.

For sale is a rather uncommon galena and quartz from Torrington, NSW. Unfortunately I have lost the history of this specimen but I know it came to me from a Deepwater collection, and before that it was in an old collection owned by a Torrington women collector. I can get the exact names at the Lismore show in May. A large specimen of galena from this area (north of Torrington about 8klms) like this just is not seen today, as the pics show there is a vein of quartz spreading into the galena, with minor pyrite. No cassiterite is in evidence.

For sale is an actinolite crystal from Mt Isa, Qld. Large actinolite crystals are very uncommon, from anywhere in the world. Crystals from this location are of a particularly large size, the interesting thing about this is the clearly visible 60 degree angles where the actinolite crystals meet. A good identification indicator, for a sometimes hard to identify mineral. Minor calcite associated. Ex Ray Montgomery collection.
